The book "" was published in the Publishing House "CognitionAdvantage" and "primacy" to the disclosure of church canonical concepts."
The theme of ecclesiastical advantages and primacy is one of the central themes in the theological controversy of the last millennium. Since the beginning of the 20th century, due to changes in the ecclesiological position of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, the issue of primacy in World Orthodoxy has given rise to disputes and divisions within the Church itself.
The publication examines the linguistic development and existence of key terms of modern church-political relations: "primacy" ("πρωτεĩον") and "advantage" ("πρεσβεĩα") in texts of Antiquity and the Middle Ages. The disclosure of these terms makes it possible to translate the discussion about the primacy of a Church over others into a strict scientific framework, avoiding distortions of its meaning and obviously incorrect interpretations.
Another value of the book is an extensive Appendix containing a large number of selected and translated quotations and allowing the reader to follow the existence of the lexemes considered in the book.
