On November 25, the opening ceremony of the V Congress of the Society of Russian Literature took place in Moscow, in the Lomonosov Building of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. Russians Russian Orthodox Church gathered leading philologists, teachers, cultural figures and representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church to discuss key issues related to the preservation and development of the Russian language.
Russian Russian language textbook for foreign students of theological schools was presented to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, who heads the Society of Russian Literature. The presentation was conducted by Viktor Sadovnichy, Deputy Chairman of the Society, Rector of Moscow State University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Russian Russian Language Department Professor Marina Sidorova, co-author of the famous "Communicative Grammar of the Russian Language" and a number of textbooks on Russian as a foreign language published in Russia, China and Iran, as well as Priest John Ivanov, methodologist of the International Department and senior lecturer at the Moscow State University, attended the solemn meeting. He is a lecturer at the Department of Church and Practical Disciplines of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy, whose practical experience working with foreign students became the basis for the methodological part of the publication.
At the end of the official part of the ceremony, the authors of the textbook gave detailed comments about their work and the significance of the new manual to the TV channel "TK SPAS".
The new textbook is intended to become an important tool in the adaptation and education of foreign students who are staying for theological education in Russia, and will contribute to a deeper immersion in the linguistic environment and culture of the country.
The manual was published with the financial assistance of the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage.
