On January 31, 2026, the rector of Tomsk Theological Seminary, Priest Vitaly Kollantai, together with students of the theological school from African countries, met with the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Constantine of Cairo and North Africa.
During the meeting, Bishop Konstantin congratulated Priest Vitaly Kollantai on his appointment as rector of the Tomsk Theological Seminary and presented him with a memorable gift – a tabletop image of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Metropolitan Konstantin then addressed the seminarians with welcoming words, inquired about their academic performance and participation in church obediences. Vladyka was also informed about the results of the children's pilgrimage to the Holy Dormition Pskov Caves Monastery, organized with the assistance of the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage. At the meeting with the ruling bishop, students could ask their questions. At the end of the meeting, Vladyka presented the students with icons of particularly venerated saints.
Also that evening, the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Constantine of Cairo and North Africa, led an all-night vigil at the Church of St. Philip, Metropolitan of Moscow, in the Meshchanskaya Sloboda of Moscow. His Eminence was assisted by the rector of the Tomsk Theological Seminary and the clergy of the temple. Seminarians from Tomsk Theological Seminary from Africa and Asia also prayed at the service.
