As part of the working visit of the delegation of the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage to Serbia and the Republic of Serbia, the Executive Director of the Foundation, Egor Skopenko, met with Patriarch Porfiry of Serbia. The meeting took place at the residence of His Holiness in Belgrade.
The meeting was also attended by the hierarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Archbishop Irinej of Novosad and Metropolitan of Baca, Bishop Gerasim of Gorno-Karlovac, as well as Zeljko Cejic, head of the offices of the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage in Belgrade and Banja Luka (Republika Srpska).
During the meeting, which took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, issues of ongoing projects in Montenegro, Serbia and the Republika Srpska, as well as the project to restore the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the city of Crikvenica of the Gorno-Karlovac diocese* (editor's note – located on the territory of Croatia) were touched upon*. In addition, the parties discussed plans for cooperation for 2026 and agreed on the implementation of future joint events, initiated by Egor Skopenko.
Patriarch Porfiry emphasized the value of the warm relationship that has developed between the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage, and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.
