Egor Skopenko, Executive Director of the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage, paid a working visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt on October 8-9, 2024.
As part of a business trip on October 8, Yegor Skopenko, as well as Patriarchal Exarch of Africa Metropolitan Konstantin Zaraisky and Deputy Project Manager for the construction of the El-Dabaa nuclear power plant Viktor Brich visited the territory of the NPP, where they inspected the premises for worship, and also discussed a number of issues related to the organization of church life and the spiritual and moral care of our numerous compatriots who work at a nuclear power plant.
The next day, on October 9, the day of the repose of the Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated on the territory of the NPP, which was led by Metropolitan Konstantin of Zaraisk. His Eminence was co-served by Archpriest Alexy Mashkov, rector of the parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church in Egypt, and Priest Georgy Maksimov, Chairman of the Missionary Department of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa.
The service was also attended by Alexey Kononenko, Vice-President of ASE JSC (Atomstroyexport, the management company of the engineering division of Rosatom State Corporation), Director of the El–Dabaa NPP construction project, his deputies, as well as Egor Skopenko, Executive Director of the Christian Culture and Heritage Support Fund.
