The delegation of the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage, headed by Deputy Executive Director Dmitry Rudkovsky and an employee of the Department for External Church Relations (DECR) Andrey Khoshev of the Moscow Patriarchate paid a working visit to the Tomsk Theological Seminary (TDS) from April 12 to 14, 2024.
As part of the trip, Metropolitan Rostislav of Tomsk and Asinovsky held a working meeting with representatives of the Foundation and DECR. The meeting was also attended by the rector of the TDS Archimandrite Joseph (Yeremenko) and the vice-rector for Academic Affairs of the seminary, Priest Vitaly Kollontai. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation between the seminary and the Foundation in terms of optimizing financial assistance in teaching foreign students at the theological school, as well as the material and technical equipment of the seminary's computer class.
In addition, the parties discussed plans to hold the First All-Russian Student Conference with international participation "On the Holiness of the Church in different languages" in Tomsk from July 1 to 5, 2024. After the meeting, the delegation members visited the Church History Museum at the Tomsk Theological Seminary, where they got acquainted with the presented exposition.
At the end of the working trip, representatives of the Foundation and DECR talked in a warm atmosphere with foreign students from Pakistan, Kenya and Malawi, who are currently studying at the Tomsk Theological Seminary, and answered their questions.
Recall that in February 2024, the Tomsk Diocese and the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage had подписано an agreement on cooperation, the subject of which was assistance to foreign students studying at the Tomsk Theological Seminary.
