The Orthodox Cathedral in honor of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the city of Kosice, the second largest city in Slovakia, was built at the expense of believers and consecrated in 2013, but remained unpainted until 2023.
The interior beautification of the cathedral, which was completed at the end of 2024, was funded by the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage. The beautification of the Cathedral in Kosice played a great role in strengthening Orthodoxy in the Slovak Republic.
