Egor Skopenko, Executive Director of the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage, paid a working visit to the Jerusalem Patriarchate on February 3, 2026. As part of his business trip, Yegor Skopenko was received by His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem.
The meeting, held in a warm atmosphere, discussed the results of the Foundation's activities over the past year, current projects of the Foundation, namely the completion of the restoration of the monastery complex and the Church of the Annunciation over the source of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Nazareth* (editor's note – also known as the Greek Orthodox Church of Archangel Gabriel over the source of the Blessed Virgin Mary)*, work on which has been conducted with the support of the Foundation since 2023.
At the end of the meeting, His Beatitude the Patriarch expressed gratitude to the Executive Director of the Foundation for his visit. Egor Skopenko, in turn, presented Patriarch Theophilus with a gift edition of "Russian Icon Painting. Big Collection", which contains the most complete collection of Orthodox icons.
