In Tumaini village, in the Kenyan deanery of Nieri, with the assistance of the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage, a new plot of land was acquired for the development of a farm operating under the parish of St. John of Shanghai.
On March 19, 2026, new land was consecrated by the clergy of the deanery.
The agricultural project was launched in 2024 through the efforts of local clergy and parishioners. Potatoes are already being grown on the farm and goats are being raised.
The new site has already begun to cultivate the land, seeds and fertilizers have been purchased. The plans include the expansion of acreage and the cultivation of new crops.
