On September 30, 2021, the Chinese translation of the book "Thoughts for Every Day of the Year"by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia will be presented at the Chinese Patriarchal Compound in Moscow.
The collection includes carefully selected fragments from sermons, scientific articles, reports, speeches, books, interviews of His Holiness. A certain passage is associated with each of the days of the calendar year.
On the pages of the book, the Chinese reader will be able to get acquainted with Patriarch Kirill as a pastor of the Church of Christ, a thinker who addresses topical issues of the modern world, and as a person endowed with deep spiritual experience and unique charisma of a preacher. Russian Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch Kirill's 75th birthday is coming out on the eve of the publication of this book in Chinese, reflecting the worldwide interest both in the personality of Patriarch Kirill himself and in the life of the entire Russian Orthodox Church.
The event will be headed by Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Rector of the All-Church Postgraduate and Doctoral School named after Saints Cyril and Methodius.
The presentation participants will also be presented with other publications of Orthodox literature in Chinese, implemented by the Chinese Patriarchal Metochion recently, including "Catechism: a short guide to the Orthodox Faith" by Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, a short illustrated Russian-Chinese dictionary of Orthodox vocabulary," Asceticism for the Laity " by priest Pavel Gumerov and others. The publication was made possible thanks to the assistance of the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage.
For nonresident participants, the event will be broadcast live with simultaneous translation into Chinese on the Chinese Farmstead's Youtube channel.
