On April 1, 2026, the Primate of the Macedonian Orthodox Church of the Ohrid Archdiocese, His Beatitude Archbishop Stefan of Ohrid and Macedonia and Metropolitan of Skopje, received a delegation from the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage, headed by Executive Director Egor Skopenko. The meeting took place at the residence of the Diocese of Nis of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
Bishop Arseny of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan of Nis, hierarchs of the Macedonian Orthodox Church of the Ohrid Archdiocese Metropolitan George of Debarsko–Kichevo and Bishop Clement of Heraclea, Director of the Administrative Department of the Serbian Patriarchate Archimandrite Danilo, head of the offices of the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage in Belgrade and Banja Luka (Republika Srpska) Zeljko Cejic and Miljan Nikitovich, an employee of the Serbian Patriarchate.
During the warm conversation, the parties discussed the possibility of future cooperation, noting the special importance of fraternal unity between the Russian, Serbian and Macedonian Orthodox Churches.
At the end of the meeting, the Foundation's delegation visited the cultural monument of Chela-Kula * (editor's note. – translated into Russian as "Tower of Skulls")* in a niche built by the Turks from the skulls of Serbs killed in the battle of Mount Cegar during the first Serbian uprising in 1809.
