On Bright Monday, April 25, at the invitation of the hierarch of the Antiochian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Elijah of Tyre and Sidon, the rector of the Russian Compound in Beirut, Archimandrite Philip (Vasiltsev), took part in the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Great Martyr George in the city of Marjaayoun (Lebanon).
The divine service was performed by Metropolitan Elijah in the concelebration of Archimandrite Philip and the clergy of the Diocese of Tyre and Sidon, the website of the Metochion reports.
Prayers during the Liturgy were performed in Arabic and Church Slavonic.
After the service was dismissed, the rector of the Russian Orthodox Church Metochion congratulated Metropolitan Elijah of Tyre and Sidon on the feast of the Bright Resurrection of Christ and presented him with memorable gifts.
