On February 17, 2026, Orenburg Theological Seminary hosted the V International Scientific and Practical Conference "Orthodoxy in Russia and Abroad: Theology, History, culture, Interreligious Dialogue."
The jubilee Scientific Forum was dedicated to the 700th anniversary of the repose of St. Peter, Metropolitan of Kiev, Moscow and All Russia, and the 1575th anniversary of the Fourth Ecumenical Council.
The conference was attended by Peter Irung Willy Jubin, a student of the Yekaterinodar Theological Seminary from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He made a presentation on "The Orthodox Church in the Democratic Republic of the Congo: history, development and modern challenges."
Seminary staff member R.S. Ivanov presented the report "Reception of the collegialitas principle in post-Conciliar Catholic Theology: ecclesiological models for reconciling conciliarity with the dogma of the primacy of the Roman Pontiff."
The conference brought together participants from 9 countries, including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Congo, Germany, France and Switzerland.
The participation of representatives of the Yekaterinodar Theological Seminary in the event took place with the financial assistance of the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage.
