Egor Skopenko, Executive Director of the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage, was awarded the Order of the Antiochian Orthodox Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul III degree for his work and merits. The award was presented to Yegor Skopenko by Metropolitan Niphon of Philippopolis, representative of the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, on May 18, 2025, during a working visit of the Foundation's delegation to Lebanon.
Metropolitan Niphon expressed special gratitude and appreciation to the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage represented by Egor Skopenko for his invaluable assistance in the construction of the church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Unexpected Joy" in the Lebanese city of Zahle, as well as for the support and willingness of the Foundation to provide prompt assistance in the needs of the Patriarchate.
The representative of the Patriarch of Antioch to the Moscow Patriarchal See also emphasized the value of the warm relationship that has developed between the Orthodox Church of Antioch and the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage, and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.
Metropolitan Anthony of Zahle and Baalbek, in turn, also thanked the Foundation represented by Egor Skopenko for his help in building the Orthodox church and noted the high level of cooperation between the Antiochian Patriarchate and the Foundation.
