The Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage provided financial assistance for the repair of a CT scanner at the Patriarchal Hospital "Al-Hosn" in the province of Homs in Syria. The hospital is located in the Valley of Christians and is under the jurisdiction of the Antiochian Orthodox Church.
It is reported that the tomograph has failed as a result of a voltage drop. Currently, the device has been completely repaired, the software has been updated, and additional equipment has been purchased to prevent the recurrence of such situations.
Despite the current unfavorable situation in Syria related to the formation of the transitional government, the Foundation continues to provide financial support to the Patriarchal Hospital "Al-Hosn" in the Valley of Christians, which will provide medical care to all those in need, regardless of religion, and thereby strengthen interfaith dialogue. The CT scanner will provide invaluable assistance in the diagnosis and, therefore, in saving human lives.
