On June 9, 2023, a delegation of the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage, headed by Executive Director Egor Skopenko, visited the monastery of St. George Al-Humayr in the village of Meshtaye in the Syrian province of Homs (Antiochian Orthodox Church).
During the trip, the delegation's guests inspected the facility, which is being restored with the assistance of the Foundation.
Representatives of the Patriarchate of Antioch expressed great gratitude to the leadership of the Foundation for the assistance provided, and also emphasized the high quality of the work carried out with the support of the Foundation to restore and strengthen the walls that allowed the temple to withstand the earthquake on February 6, 2023.
In addition, on the same day, the Foundation's delegation visited the patriarchal hospital "Al-Hosn" in the province of Homs, where they examined the medical equipment previously purchased by the Foundation.
Representatives of the Foundation also assessed the progress of the construction of the new hospital building, which is being built with the support of the Foundation and the construction of which is planned to be completed within two months.
During the meeting, the issue of financial assistance from the Foundation for the staffing of the new building with modern medical equipment, as well as the construction of the Syrian Christian Medical University "Al-Mashrek" next to the hospital "Al-Hosn" was discussed.
