A delegation of the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage, led by Executive Director Egor Skopenko, visited the city of Nyabini (Nieri deanery) on January 16, 2025, as part of a working visit to Kenya.

In the morning, representatives of the Foundation participated in the Divine Liturgy on the territory of the Orthodox educational center in honor of St. Barnabas the Apostle in the city of Nyabini. The service was led by the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Konstantin of Zaraisk, co-served by the chairman of the Missionary Department of the Exarchate, Priest Georgy Maximov, the deans of Nieri, Meru and the Central Church District, as well as new clergy of the Exarchate who recently converted to the Russian Orthodox Church. The service was also attended by representatives of local authorities, students and local residents.

After the liturgy, a festive performance was held by the pupils of the educational center.

After the concert, the Foundation's delegation, together with Metropolitan Konstantin and Priest Georgy Maximov, visited the school, where they got acquainted with the educational and living conditions of the center's students.

The Foundation provides financial assistance to an educational institution in completing construction, furnishing and equipping the main buildings of the school and repairing the premises, paying salaries to teachers and staff, purchasing school supplies and uniforms, catering for children, paying for medical, communal and other expenses.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited the church in honor of St. Nectarius of Aegina, inspected the building of the future clinic, erected next to the church, as well as the site for the construction of the temple.

At the end of the day, the delegation members visited the church under construction in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Gilgil village (Nakuru District) and got acquainted with the progress of construction work.
