The delegation of the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage, headed by Executive Director Egor Skopenko, continues its working visit to Kenya.
On the morning of January 17, 2025, Metropolitan Konstantin of Zaraisk, Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, held a meeting with the deans of six church districts in Western Kenya, attended by Priest Georgy Maksimov, Chairman of the Missionary Department of the Exarchate, and Egor Skopenko, Executive Director of the Foundation. The meeting discussed issues related to the development of parish life, the spiritual education of clergy and laity, and the implementation of social and other projects of the Patriarchal Exarchate.
In the afternoon, representatives of the Foundation, together with Metropolitan Konstantin and Priest George Maximov, visited the parishes in honor of St. Athanasius the Great in Nyabigega and in honor of St. Peter the Apostle in Riga (Kisii district), where orphanages operate.
The delegation talked with the children, got acquainted with the living conditions of the orphanage's pupils and presented them with sweet gifts.
Earlier, the Foundation provided assistance to both orphanages in paying for tuition for pupils who study in high school, building dormitories and buying new beds.
