On December 14, 2024, the day of the memory of the Prophet Nahum, Priest Georgy Sergeev, responsible for organizing the care of the faithful of the Moscow Patriarchate in the territory of the Turkish Republic, celebrated the Divine Liturgy for Russian-speaking believers who live in Ankara.
Most of those present at the divine service took communion of the Holy Mysteries of Christ. After the service, Father George delivered a sermon in which he outlined patristic interpretations for ordinary Gospel reading, the telegram channel of the communities of the Russian Orthodox Church in Turkey reports.
The priest also thanked the director of the Russian House in Ankara, A.A. Sotnichenko, for his assistance in organizing divine services in the premises of Rossotrudnichestvo.
