With the assistance of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, a translation of the book "Thoughts for Every Day of the Year" by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia was published in Czech.
The publication includes fragments of sermons, scientific articles, reports, speeches, books, interviews for more than 35 years of His Holiness' pastoral ministry.
On the pages of the book, the Patriarch appears to readers as a pastor of the Church of Christ, a thinker addressing topical issues of the modern world, as a person endowed with deep spiritual experience and the unique charisma of a preacher. The edition contains 366 excerpts for each day of the year.
In the preface to the Czech edition, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk notes that Patriarch Kirill, as the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church, primarily cares about his Church and flock and answers topical questions of believers in Russia and neighboring countries.
Opening this book, the reader should not forget that the basis of all the diverse activities of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill is the fundamental principle: service to God and the Church in everything and without a trace.
The publication of the book in Czech is another way to familiarize Czech Christians with the personality and ministry of His Holiness the Patriarch, as well as to spiritually support Orthodox believers in our difficult times.
The translation into Czech was performed by the Slavist and historian Michal Tera.
