The film tells about how Christianity was born in Antioch, how the apostles Peter and Paul met in this city, about ancient Damascus and its Christian history, about the lands of Tyre and Sidon, about monasteries and monasticism in ancient Antioch, about how the Antioch Church lived under Arab and Ottoman rule, about the modern life of Orthodox Christians in Syria and Lebanon, about the relationship between the Antioch and Russian Orthodox Churches, about the war in Syria and the decisive contribution that Russia made to the victory over the terrorists.
In an interview given specifically for this film, His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East says: "Our country and the Church of Antioch have suffered a great test, now we are experiencing one of the most difficult periods in history… In particular, in Syria, the sad events and the general crisis have been going on for many years. Murders, terrorism, religious extremism, fanaticism, attacks on life, attacks on temples, mosques, hospitals, schools, universities, orphanages and orphanages.
